Dealing With an Abusive Ex

A client approached the firm with a problem - an ex lover who was constantly stalking, harassing and threatening them.

We filed for a Protection From Abuse order (PFA) and proceeded to court. At the courthouse, we were able to obtain a 12 month Protection From Abuse order for the client, without a full court hearing on the matter. The abusive ex, faced with the prospect of a more serious 18 month PFA, backed down and agreed to a 12 month PFA voluntarily.
